Please note: in the time allowed this lesson can only be conducted at the marina where your boat is moored.
The refuelling component of this lesson will be given if the fuelling station is located at the marina; this is to allow adequate time for docking practice.

5. Manoeuvring at high speed.
6. If engine alarm sounds, what action to take.
Refuelling
1. Docking at fuel dock and securing the boat2. Shutting down of all systems - engines and electrical
3. Notifying the marina and how to pay
4. Safe refuelling technique and dangers to watch for
Anchoring
1. Select suitable anchoring site2. Anchoring, taking into account tide, wind etc
3. Safely retrieving the anchor using engines
Mooring your boat.
1. Preparing fenders and lines.2. Coming alongside a wharf, using two techniques.
3. Docking in your marina pen.
4. Rope work (3 simple but crucial knots)
Safety at sea
1. Radio communications.2. Mobile phone, who to call.
